Christmas pumpkin lanterns....what???

Christmas Angel with 'cowgirl boots'
Created by one of our Grand daughters
'with a little help from her Papa'

Our son and three of his daughters
created these the day after Christmas.
It was a cold afternoon in Kansas and
was 'my surprise' to come home to.
'Oh Christmas tree'
We used these pumpkins to decorate at Halloween and at Thanksgiving week.
One day before Christmas my Grandpa pa and I carried the pumpkins
outside to place in the compost pile...that is where one of the
grand daughters & Papa found and retrieved them from when I was gone.
More than anything I think everyone was looking for something
interesting to do.
'Star of David' Christmas lantern
Little Christmas tree...made with steady little sweet hands.
What fun it was to drive into the driveway and see the
Christmas lanterns all lit up! I have to admit when I was
told to hurry...the surprise was 'blog worthy'...
I was thrilled. All four of the pumpkins looked beautiful!

Who would have thought up such an idea?
I asked one of my little Grand daughter "did you save the seeds for roasting"?
She said "yes". I washed them, cooked them in butter
on the stove, next I spread them out on a cookie sheet
sprinkled with sea salt then baked at 325 degrees for 45 minutes.
Delicious!

Hands down...this is one of the best recycle projects ever!
Great job everyone!!!

A peek into the N2God Store window tonight!
The tiny Nativity scene and winter wonder land fun.
(the green in the background is a twinkle light...just imagine how small everything is)
