When I brought it into our farm house I thought...where am I going to put it? I did find a beautiful 'just right' crocheted scarf for the stand and it is in our front sitting room..sitting. As I positioned the Cottage on the scarf, I felt something funny underneath. Gently I held the Cottage up, looked and to my delight...2 AA batteries in a box. I couldn't believe it...the little string of tiny lights lit up. I replaced the crusty batteries and kept my fingers crossed. Low and behold...yippee, they worked. There isn't an off/on switch, I just place the batteries 'in' for on. The skilled artist who built this miniature cottage thought of everything didn't he? It was so neat discovering this special feature. God is so good, the Cottage has brought me so much fun and then....lights too.
